Final Newsletter for 2018

We’ve had another great year at the centre.  Thank you to all of our families for continuing to show faith in us – your support and the many referrals we receive are the backbone of our business.  A very big Thank you!

Christmas Closing Dates

As you know our last working day before the Christmas break will be Friday 21st December.  We will re-open Monday 7th January 2019.  We will be moving existing children and commencing new children into their new classrooms from this date.  The last day for children not returning to the centre in 2019 will be Friday 21st December 2018.

Children’s Christmas Party

Santa will be visiting the children at the children’s Christmas party and concert on Friday 7th December starting at 6 pm.  As usual we will have Old McDonald’s farm, the Lions club doing a sausage sizzle, face painting, balloon clowns, Mr Whippy and much more.  It is a very enjoyable evening for all, especially the children.

Outstanding Accounts

The dreaded fees L.  All families that are behind in fees will need to catch up by Friday 15th December.  We will not be carrying any outstanding fees over to 2019.  If you are behind in fees, expect a call from the office staff as all fees are to be one week in advance.  If you leave the Centre owing money, the Centre debt collector will be engaged to pursue any outstanding amounts.

Fees 2019

Our Budget for 2019 has been completed and our fees for 2019 have been passed by our Management Committee at their last meeting.  Fees will be as follows:-

Nursery & Toddlers                   $100.00 per day

Junior Kindy & Senior Kindy     $  95.00 per day

Pre-Prep                                       $  90.00 per day

If you pay your kindy fees by Bank Transfer into the Centre account, please adjust your deposit to reflect the new amount from Monday, 7th January.  If you are leaving the Centre please check with the office staff to make sure your fees are paid in full.

Included in this Newsletter you will find a Staff List for 2019.  On a sad note, Becky and Jo from our Nursery are both resigning from their positions at the end of this year.  Becky has taken a Teacher’s Aide position and Jo will be doing more travelling in her campervan.  These two girls will be greatly missed.  Becky commenced at Bauer Street as a student in 1996, then took some years off with her girls and returned in 2014.  Jo has been at Bauer Street for 9 years.

We wish them all the best and would always welcome them back to our team at any time.

Christmas Present Donations

Thank you to all our families who have donated a gift for the underprivileged children.  The gifts will be collected by the Salvation Army who will pass them on to children in need.  Just a reminder…. the gifts are to be marked boy/girl and the age that it would be suitable for.  All donations need to be at the Centre by Friday, 7th December so that they can be collected.

Children going to School

To all our children starting school, we wish them all the best in their new adventure.  Some children leaving have been at the Centre since they were babies, so have really been part of the Bauer Street family.

On behalf of the staff, I would like to extend our best wishes to you all for a safe and happy festive season.
